Therefore, no prayer should be allowed to be said/preached in a school at all. The only place the Bible (or any other holy book) should be referenced in is a place Of worship. There is no reason for an “open prayer session” in a place that does not explicitly alcove, support, and regularly practice the religion itself.
This is because in a school, there is a wide variety of people/ students including Muslims, Christians, Catholics, Hindus, Jews, and Atheists. They all practice and worship different things and because of this, it would be unfair to acknowledge only one of them at a high school graduation or school board m eating. Some may argue that prayer in school is k because of the Supreme Court case Marsh vs.. Chambers where the Supreme Court stated that “invocation for Divine guidance CE is not an establishment of religion”.
This is however wrong because, when talking AIBO t divinity one is implying religion and most likely “Chrism’s divinity’. Disagree with this because e it impedes on the separation between church and state. Religion is a free practice, but it is n to free to impose on other people. By saying a prayer before a graduation which is mixed with mull tipple kinds of people, you are impeding on other people’s rights. Prayer is a good thing and there is no law against it, but it should be kept in a place that is welcome to it. The best way to please everyone in this type of situation is to not pray at a
II. If there is no prayer at all, there is no opportunity for someone to be offended and therefore re, many problems can be avoided. A graduation or a school board meeting is no place to referee CE religion in the first place. At those types of events, all that should be discussed is school and again, by talking about religion, one breaks the rule of separation between church and state. O en has the right to worship, or not to worship, as their conscience dictates. Public schools and/ or events can’t force you to take part in religious activities, or prevent you from doing so.
Religious freedom means the right to practice as you choose, not as you are told. In conclusion, prayer in a public setting should not be allowed under any chi resistances because of the imposition it places on peoples rights. The best way to solve the e conflict would to have no prayer because it allows for all people to be equally treated. By not a acknowledging religion, one can prevent problems and therefore have a better chance of pled aging every persons needs. Religion should not be imposed on anyone that does not follow that re logion because in the end, the choice is theirs.
