One benefit that electronic medical records have for providers and their patients is that it gives them an easier access to their health or medical records. Having this type of a software implemented into a health care organization also lets revisers communicate better with other medical providers in other health care organization.
I think one aspect that makes this type of a modality in regards to a patient’s confidentiality. By having this type of a software equipment any health care facility will lead to major health care savings, reduce medical errors, and improve health.A patients privacy been kept where no one can have or obtain any access makes it a very important part of any health care facility. Health care facilities or organization strives to keep all of their patients’ medical or health records more cure and confidentially; so that only those authorized to view or look at them at all times.
To me, this makes having an electronic medical records system very much a valuable modality. Electronic medical records is effective in keeping the consumers and their medical providers to stay more communicated with each other. It lets the medical providers to stay more informed as to how the person is progressing to update the consumers to any new developments in the health or well- being. This mode of communication differs from a web-based forum, or e-mails in a lot of ways. For one thing medical providers cannot discuss any health issues or discuss any issues they may be trying to address or handle through a web-based forum established through their facility. Emails is something that health care providers can communicate, send out or even receive information being sent to them from someone else.Information through this type of a communication should be limited in the words being sent from either TA consumer or a health care provider to avoid it being read by someone else before it actually gets to them. Social networking and the media will change how communication exists in a health care eating.
It should be done by individuals that may have the same interests, regards or reference to someone else. Social media or social networks sites are probably used by many health care providers more as a continuous interacting with other providers to stay more aware to any issues arising in the health care industry today.Health systems can use social media or networking to engage members and potential members by building trust and making more large organization more accessible and approachable( Ted Eaten, MD, Vince Goal, Rural Pariah, Sarah Stein; Social Media ND the Health System) To me, if health care providers use these sites as a place where they are marketing their services or letting consumers to know of any products or services being offered through their organization; it will prove to be very beneficial and profitable in the process.I think what makes emails have some advantages is it is always legible, fast, efficient, and a way of communicating. Emails can also threaten a patients’ confidentiality by being vulnerable to outside access.
They may be intercepted, forwarded to any number of people, easily altered, or falsified without detection. Printed, or stopped by others. That is why health care providers must provide appropriate means for securing protected health information. To me, it is Just not a face-to-face communication between a patient, consumers with their medical provider of choice. Some health care organizations use emails to schedule, confirm, or send reminders about appointments, report normal lab results, or conduct patient education( Ovid: Austin, Sally, and, BAGS, ID). I assume health care organization have to be more aware of their guidelines, rules and regulation that applies to them when using this type of a communication modality.
Two of these modes of communication modalities that have been discussed throughout my paper can maybe be used to market health care products or services within their organization. Emails or a web-based forum can allow physicians to let consumers or other potential medical provides outside of their facility to know what they are offering as far as and long as their message gets across in the right way and form.An electronic medical records software should not be used as any marketing strategy. There is nothing contained in someone else medical or health records that eve any dealings or reference to any products they are receiving or any health care services being offered to them. In writing this paper; it sure did give me more of an awareness and knowledge to how certain communication modalities used in health care organization has some advantages and drawbacks to them.
