With her layering, style, sense of chaos, patterns, and architectural methods, Unrest’s ark can be understood to explain through visual means that equates to time and movement. Unrest’s designs are done on a computer and she manipulates her designs, which are then transferred, into her canvases. The images portray light in the sense that the colors are dynamic and very bright. The lines and shapes all move in the same motion and pattern to make the piece a one of kind.
The piece features different lines actual lines to vertical lines. The motion is the portrait unifies the image and the message Emeritus was trying to capture which is both spiritual and artistic. Because Emeritus is a modern day artist, her panting captures both history and the world we live in today. The abstract language portrayed in the image deals with today’s society as well as her spot in history. The image shows a balance between both sides of history.
It also shows that society is mostly based on chaos with the different elements shown in the picture. The pattern of the different shapes, lines and swirls all show how chaotic society can be. It’s very easy to fall in love with Stasis II because of all the visual elements. The contrast of the image unifies the movement of colors. Looking at the ice you see a series of repetition in the rhythm of how things move and flow. The scale and proportion of the piece is what makes it so profound and very different from other modern day images.
The emphasis to draw our attention to the lines moving in the different directions shows that’s what the piece is about. The focal point of the piece is about chaos in history and the lack of understanding and trying to find yourself. Through texture in the middle Merest created subordination to keep our attention away from all the chaos that is going on. The different directional forces in the piece are all the elements in the picture, from the nines, shapes, swirls colors influence the way we look at the picture and how we translate the art.
The picture itself is picture plane, as it simultaneously AC second shape put of background area. As part if Unrest’s creativity, she uses her space creatively by bringing all the elements together is a very organized way. Overall I believe this picture brings out different visual elements that help people capture the essence of the image and what it really means. This image really captures the different dimensions of history and how they can all come together in the middle of all the chaos that is going on around us.
