I Found My Miracle

I Found My MiracleBy: Jasmin A. Rapada Life is mysterious. Everyday I seek answers for questions I always utter when troubles get in my way. I always find ways to solve my problems on my own.

But if the going gets tough, that is the time I knelt down and ask for God’s miracles. Miracles! It seems like there are no more miracles happening these times? That’s what I thought until God entered and changed my life! As I entered an unprepared marriage in 2003, I went through so many pains and sufferings. Everyday disagreements and quarrels which always ends up in smashing things. But God’s great love opened my heart, through a good friend’s sharing of God’s Word, I was saved and became a new creation of God. My perspective in life became positive. I became more optimistic in everything. About my marriage, about my work, about my life, everything! God became the center of my life. I let Him drive the car I am riding.

God blessed me and my husband to have a baby in July 2005. My doctor found me and my baby in good condition but unexpectedly in January 2006, I was rushed to the hospital because of labor pains. My doctor decided to perform a Caesarean delivery to prevent fetal death. My appendix and left ovary was successfully removed but unfortunately, my baby was in serious condition and was confined inside the ICU Section. I was in deep pain of not seeing my baby alive who suffered from blood infection and pneumonia. As I held her body in my arms during her funeral rites, I asked God, “.

.why me? What did I done wrong to deserve this?”. But as I knelt and prayed fervently, I held God’s promise in Jeremiah 29:11 “’For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.’”.
