Finally, we were a failure in our project assessment. Indeed, we did not have enough time to analyze deeply as well as create a strategy correctly for the new product. Felt repent of my hasty decision that was caused by weakness in problem-solving and stress management skills.

In order to develop self-awareness, the capacity to observe and reflect on the events and obstacles in the past after challenging experiences is extremely racial. Firstly, according to Wheaten and Cameron (2005, up. 23-28), the personal assessment of management skills (PAM’S) could measure self-ability in various different perspectives of management. The result show that besides a lot of strengths such as communicating supportively, gaining power or motivating others, there are still existed several weaknesses of management skills and the worst weaknesses which are managing stress and solving problems creatively.

In particular, when I faced with stressful and time-pressured situations of “condom” project, I did not use effective time- management techniques and devices such as project software, keeping track of time, making to-do lists as well as proportioning tasks. Also, I did not care for health or relaxation methods involving regular exercise for fitness or deep breathing and muscle relaxation and not able to balance in life by pursuing a variety of interest outside of work. Furthermore, when I had encountered the problem, did try to tackle it by one alternative without defining the issue clearly and explicitly.

Apparently, I did not keep step by step in the problem- solving process. Secondly, according to Honey and Uniform (2006), Kola’s earning style inventory model can use to inform the four learning styles. As a result, those who have the highest scores in concrete experience (CE) and active experimentation (AWE) like me are known as accommodated. The greatest strengths of accommodated are performing plans and experiments and challenging new experiences. They are such the risk-takers and talented in making the quick decision and adapting.

In case, if their plan does not fit the facts, they tend to get rid of it and try other ways. For illustration, when our group had started the project, recommended choosing condom – “risky” reduce because I enjoy the challenging. In addition, when I recognized some problems of this product, I decided to change to another one immediately. What is more, did tackle issues basing on information from others and by intuition that would lead to error manners, and our group was fail in the project. Shortly, traits of accommodated are impatient and pushy.

The first mistake I made that is an attempt to discard the trouble as Soon as possible and chose the first reasonable solution that appeared in my mind without creative and critical thinking. While efficient problem-solving methods are squired by a range of methodical and logical approaches. However, all the steps are simply derivations of the same tankard template. Moreover, Trending et. Al (2006) argues that creative and critical thinking abilities are two crucial elements of thought. Creative thinking is defined that generating many, varied and unusual options while critical thinking is known as focusing the thinking constructively. Those who can use the symmetry of both generating and focusing abilities might become successful problem solver.

In addition, when encountering a complex institutional problem, lateral thinking is one of the most effective methods. Lateral thinking involving six techniques can be used to foster creativity in robber-solving: Shared leadership, systems thinking, cross-fertilization, brainstorming, root cause analysis and prototyping (Barker et. Al, 2009). Obviously, the more important decision, the more problem solver should take time to analyze it by different methods and techniques instead of making hasty decisions.

The second issue is that I had too many things to do at the same time and not enough time to do all of them perfectly leading to the pervasive feeling of stress. According to Wheaten and Cameron (2011 , p. 1 1 2), the most important stress management tool is to eliminate stresses with inactive strategies that may affect permanently and require long-time performance. The second useful tool is proactive strategies that are designed to develop resiliency strategies and achieve long term techniques when a moderate time is required.

The last approach is reactive strategies that create short-term effects and reduce stress temporarily. Substantially, the most pervasive source of stress I faced with is that time pressure. Therefore, the key to the solution should be time management. Brainwash and Cohen (201 3, p. 1 1 5) state that in ordered work more productive, worker should earn how to discard or delegate unnecessary task and take more time with more important one. Similarly, Wheaten and Cameron (2011, p. 1 1 5) claim that effective time management strategies focus on spending time on important matters, not urgent matter only.

According to Duffy (2014), individuals can make every workday becoming more productive if changing something to their routines such as map the productivity cycle, change the routine, review the whole day, schedule breaks and line up end of day chores. Widely, there are various techniques or strategies for attacking problems of time stress and asking better use of working hours. These implications can guide in my acting to manage the situation more efficiently in the future. To begin with, using the four steps of problem-solving model (Wheaten and Cameron 2011 , p. 1 5), might enhance my problem- solving and decision-making skills. The first step is to define the problem, in the “condom project”, the real problem is that condom advertising is strictly prohibited on television channels only, not with all advertising channel. Therefore, do not need to change the whole project. In this situation, I would generate alternative solutions such as replacing other advertising media, or other solutions are built on others’ ideas in our group. After that, evaluate the possible solution rely on optimal standard, systematically, effects and select the best one.

Finally, implement at the proper time and follow up on the solution. However, during the time of making decision and tackling the problem, time pressure deadline may be a main obstacle that need to overcome. As a matter of fact, time management is a key to tackling stress problem and one way of evaluating the use of time is to create a daily time go (Stanley, 2012). Firstly, the most important thing I need to do is to map my productivity cycle. In the morning time, I am able to focus and work efficiently, that mean the most productive hours is in the early morning hours.

Secondly, after realizing my productivity cycle, have to change my routine to fit it. Therefore, will use my most focused time to do high focus tasks and then using afternoon time for unimportant things such as checking email. Thirdly, always look over my plan for the whole day before the new day begins. Then, should schedule breaks to refresh my mind that help decrease stress and enhance energy. Finally, avoid lining up a few end-of-day chores habit and try to do useful things such as filing papers or deleting browser’s history.
