The author conveys a suspenseful plot by adding their own experiences from their profession based on criminal awe professor and deputy district attorney, to create a real life story. As the author conveys the story as a mystery and thriller, the more compelling it becomes and the more loop holes the reader is put through, that in the end Alfalfa Burke pieces it smoothly as the mystery gets solved. Burke begins by presenting believable, strong characters, like Detective Elli Hatchet.

With her “insatiable, but dangerous curiosity about human motives,” she is determined o prove that Julia Whittier committed suicide because of all the secrets she found out about Julia. A family, who appears to be perfect, can have the darkest secrets of all. From finding out about Cilia’s addiction to a prescribed medication of antidepressants, another finding of pills, but this time the bottle of pills had no label. As they search for more clues, they later find on Cilia’s computer that she had been involved in spellbinding, leading up to her death.

The author adding more loop holes, it starts to become a thriller tit each finding of clues, it then starts to feel and appear as a real life story. Based on criminal law and deputy district attorney, the author conveys a suspenseful plot though loop holes. Recommend this book to any readers who enjoy reading mysteries and thrillers, who like being tied up in loop holes throughout the book until finally all the pieces of the puzzle come together.
