The manufacturing of the newspaper and its distribution. The paper quality required for printing in the machine is imported and tender is released for the procurement of the same. The paper comes via shipping and is then further reaches various printing press by train. Similarly, tender is released out for ink, says Mr.. Josh. They also have the NINE (Newspaper in Education) issue which is distributed to all the school students in their school. The printing for this begins at 3:30 p. M.

The process is almost similar when it moms to timings and distribution for the Hindi version “Navigate Times” but it is distributed only in main cities and not sent to Uptown cities. Navigate times releases the Oneida edition, Surgeon edition, Abridged edition and Gabbed edition. There is no School edition released in Hindi. Coming to the Economic Times which is also referred as the “star edition” is made in Delhi itself for city edition. Up cities distribution: Once the newspapers are published in Delhi and sent to up cities , they are sent to various depots all over the city.

These depots are also the drop points or other newspapers so that the vendors can come and buy different newspapers from the same point. Usually, the newspaper sent by ZOO is carried using DATA 407, DATA ACE, OMNI etc. Main city distribution: In NCR particularly, newspaper (city edition) are sold through similar fixed points but only by salesman of ZOO. On the other hand, it is sold by multiple dealers in Abridged, Gabbed, Oneida etc. How are supplements published? The supplements are not sent to Up country cities except “Ascent” and ‘Times Life” which are published on Wednesday and Sunday respectively.

Specifically or Delhi Times, different versions are published for North, South , East Delhi. This is due because the Advertisements received for all these area are different. Mr.. Josh also mentioned that mostly, the page 3 events remains the same for whole Delhi but a single or couple of local article is added in other pages according to the area. For this, a single assigned vehicle collects the unsold units from multiple depots/points as the quantity of it is lesser than the quantity of fresh lot. When this reaches the office, the salesmen are paid according to the units they had sold .

After this, the Audit department, who had collected these unsold units hand it over to the Business and Commercial Department . They release a tender for selling this unused stock to the Sabbaticals who take the unused, wasted , damaged paper via trucks. In earlier days, the data came from various sites in the form of negatives, then they were converted to positives and printed in plates and then published.
