People in the early days and till now use the word “hate” so freely in their everyday life while conversing to other people. In the article, “What’s So Bad About Hate,” Andrew Sullivan strive to define the different types of hate and he gives many examples of hate crimes. He states that in the real world, every sensation of loyalty is supported by the same feeling of disloyalty, but sadly, one can not prevail without the other. Many people might believe that they do not feel any hatred towards other races.
For example, when someone taps on the shoulder of an individual and asked for something, they suddenly caught an attention to their race. Some people may ask to themselves that what can it be that they want and feel insecure of what might happen. There should not be any racism because of their race because of their actions, they might fall under the hate group but that is not the case. Sullivan mentioned about the three types of hate and those are obsessive, narcissistic and hysterical.
It is common for people to feel hate towards other people depends on their point of view. Sullivan states that there is no way for hate to end but there is a way for people to overcome their hate. In the article, “La Guera,” Cherrie Moraga indicates on few different questions about her identity, such as her skin tone and sexual orientation can have the capability to connect people around. It is claimed that Moraga is only able to understand with the oppression of her dark-skinned mother after her experience of finding out about her being a lesbian.
As her being born light skin when the rest of her family are dark-skinned.
