Plate Tectonics

Transform Boundary
When two plates slide against each other in a sideways motion. As two plates slide past one another, in a transform boundary, neither plate is added to at the boundary, nor destroyed. [image]
Convergent Boundary
Two or more tectonic plates or fragments of lithosphere move toward one another and collide.[image]
Divergent Boundary
A linear feature that exists between two tectonic plates that are moving away from each other.[image]
Plate Tectonic
The surface of the Earth is made up of a number of rigid plates moving relative to each other, separating at mid-oceanic ridges where new ocean-floor is produced and converging at subduction zones.[image]
