· Delay in operation is reduced. · Free from errors and harmonics (disturbances). · No fluctuation during process. · Maintenance cost will be minimized. · Decrease in pollution level. · Amount of disaster decreases. · Due to usage of purified water and filtered coal , losses are less and its become a bit eco-friendly. So in future pollution level reduces.
· Flexible in control and addition of parameters becomes easy. · In past, steam generator where controlled manually. But now a day the process is fully automated and analysis is totally SCADA based. · The applying steam is controlled and maintained by PLC. So efficiency of heating the boiler with help of steam is to be high. Methodology : · HARDWARE : I. PLC ladder diagram is connected to hardware named as “ALLENY BARDELY”.
Which control the field. II. BOILER: It is closed vessel into which water is heated until the water is converted into steam at required pressure. Water plays a major part in generation of steam initially pushbutton is switched ON then PLC, SCADA, different sensors are switched ON. III.
STEAM WATER: Water heats, turns into steam and spins the steam turbine which drives an electrical generator. IV. COOLING FEEDER: The amount of cooling is required by any steam-cycle power plant is determined by its thermal efficiency. It has essentially nothing to do with whether it is fueled by coal, gas or uranium. V. COAL FEEDER : It is a conveyor belt which is used to carry the raw coal or coal ore stones. · SOFTWARE : · PLC (programmable logic controller): It is the most intelligent system of modules which was introduce in control and instrumentation industries for replacing relay based logic. PLC is also used for storage of instruction for implementing function such as logic, sequencing, timing, counting and arithmetic to control through digital or analog inputs and outputs modules and various types of machine processes.
It is also used in industries for waste control oil and gas refining purpose. · SCADA (Intouch wonder ware 10.1): SCADA, a controlled system used to supervise a complete plan and basically consists of data accessing features and controlling processes remotely. It is used to monitor the boiler temperature, pressure and water level using different sensors.
The corresponding output is given to PLC. If temperature and pressure inside boiler exceeds the predefined value, then entire system is shut down(which prevents from minor and major disaster ). · CONTROL PARAMTERS : I. PRESSURE CONTROL : Force draft pressure, Turbine inlet steam pressure, Flue gas pressure, Steam drum pressure and Induced draft pressure. II. TEMPERATURE CONTROL : Steam drum temperature, Flue gas temperature, Force draft temperature, under-bed boiler temperature, Feed water temperature and Induced draft temperature. III. LEVEL CONTROL : Water level control and Steam drum level.
