The lift is generated by the theory of Bernoulli’s principle. Wing can only be horizontal in order toallow the fluid flows perpendicularly due to the flight path. All the lift are generated because of thedifference in air pressure exists between the area above the wing and under the wing.
This is causedby Angle of Attack, it is defined as the angle between the horizontal imaginary line and the chord ofthe wing when we look at the side of the plane. As the pilots desire to accelerate upwardsperpendicularly, the pilots will try to increase the Angle of Attack. However there are the drawbacksif the pilots tend to increase the Angle of Attack. If it is too big, the entire plane will start to beperpendicularly shaped which includes the perpendicular wing that losses the wing areatemporarily.
The plane will be either upward climbing as the engine can support the plane to pushupward, or it might stall if the limited velocity can’t remain the lift since the area is lost due to thewing is not horizontal. Either climb up to high in the short time or lower down the speed will stalleasily.Apart of the lifting force, there are three additional forces acting on the plane. As the general casewhich we face everyday—Gravity, it generates the dragging force downwards against the lift,normally we can feel it when we accidentally drop something and it falls onto the ground, that canillustrates that the heavier plane will have more powerful engines to provide more lift against itsweight. In the condition of earth everything is effected by the gravity, includes the air moleculeswhich mostly dives onto the surface of the landscape, that’s why the plane requires the aircompressorin order to allow the passengers to breath at the higher altitude.
Another factor causesthe plane try to slow down is called dragging force, according to the Newton’s third law “If body Aexerts a force on body B then body B will exert an equal and opposite force on body A” (6.
